Jannon Baer –

Bio:

Jannon is a painter, dancer, and drummer from Washington County, MD who aims to help others connect with the present moment and experience joy through art and movement.

She has exhibited her work throughout the region, with recent exhibitions including Himmelfarb Gallery at Maryland University for Integrative Health of Laurel, Expanding Heart Center Gallery of Frederick, Washington County Arts Council Gallery of Hagerstown, Gifts Inn Boonsboro, and The Inn Boonsboro. Jannon was a member of the Hagerstown Artists Group at the Factory at Mulberry Lofts in downtown Hagerstown, working with local artists to raise awareness about art in the community. Jannon was one of many volunteer artists who painted a local mural project on W. Memorial Blvd. in Hagerstown. She received her BFA in Painting and minor in Printmaking from Shepherd University.

In addition to painting, Jannon has studied dance and has facilitated dance workshops in a variety of styles including modern dance, West African dance, tribal belly dance, Bharathanatyam, Odissi classical dance, and Rajasthani folk dance. She combines meditative practices with dance as an offering for healing and to embrace rich traditions of cultural art forms. Jannon holds deep gratitude for her many teachers throughout her journey. In her spare time, Jannon enjoys spending time in nature with her family, drumming in a band, and playing with her 10-year-old son, Kiran.
